I am an actuary, lecturer and writer.

I am a qualified pensions actuary, with over 13 years’ experience working for a range of pension scheme clients, large and small, trustee and corporate, as well as some time working in pricing and risk management.

I am a lecturer in actuarial sciences at the University of Leicester, where I am also programme director for the BSc Mathematics and Actuarial Science course and founder of the Leicester Actuarial Science Society.

I am a member of the managing committee of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries’ (IFoA’s) Economics Member Interest Group and Module Lead for the IFoA’s CP3 (Communications Practice) subject.

I write regularly at www.weknow0.co.uk, on a range of pensions and economics-related topics, as well as providing very occasional review and actuarial consultancy services.

I divide most of my time between Birmingham and Leicester.
