I am an actuary, lecturer and writer.

I am a qualified pensions actuary, with over 13 years’ experience working for a range of pension scheme clients, large and small, trustee and corporate, as well as some time working as internal model manager for a small mutual insurer.

I am a lecturer in actuarial sciences at the University of Leicester, where I am also programme director for the BSc Mathematics and Actuarial Science course.

I write regularly at www.weknow0.co.uk, on a range of pensions and economics-related topics, as well as providing review and actuarial consultancy services.

I divide most of my time between Birmingham and Leicester.
