I have been an actuary and lecturer. Now I write from time to time, sometimes illustrating my writing with my primitive cartoons.
I am a retired actuary, with experience working for a range of pension scheme clients, as well as some time working in pricing and risk management before moving into academia.
I was a lecturer in actuarial sciences at the University of Leicester for 10 years and founder of the Leicester Actuarial Science Society.
I am a member of the Birmingham Science Fiction Group and Liberty. I am a supporter of a number of causes, including Extinction Rebellion, the Trussell Trust and the Good Law Project.
I am based in Birmingham, but like to rewild myself as often as possible.
