Now I write from time to time, sometimes illustrating my writing with my primitive cartoons.<\/p>\n<p>I am a retired actuary, with experience working for a range of pension scheme clients, as well as some time working in pricing and risk management before moving into academia.<\/p>\n<p>I was a lecturer in actuarial sciences at the University of Leicester for 10 years and founder of the Leicester Actuarial Science Society.<\/p>\n<p>I am a member of the Birmingham Science Fiction Group.<\/p>\n<p>I am based in Birmingham, but like to rewild myself as often as possible.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I have been an actuary and lecturer.
